Elite have over 15 years’ experience in integrating EPoS solutions to Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000. Our latest Elite POS solution is fully integrated with the Sage 500/1000 financials and distribution modules.

As you have already invested in, or are looking to implement, Sage Line 1000, Elite POS surfaces all customer information, products and pricing at the point of sale, as opposed to running separate systems and databases for the POS system.  POS transactions are posted back into Sage 1000 which means that any reporting is also handled from a single centrals solution. Elite Integrations and its business partners across the UK, Ireland and South Africa have experience deploying Sage 1000 integrated EPoS to small single till sites through to several hundred till points across many locations.

Elite POS is also often used in mail order and telephone order environments as our customers find it is an extremely fast way of passing sales orders and invoices into Sage, rather than using the complex SOP screens and Sage.

How The Integration Works

Elites POS modules extracts accounts receivable information (such as account codes, names addressees, payment terms, price lists and terms), product details (such as codes, descriptions, cost and sell prices, barcodes form technical pages), stock levels (in stock, allocated and free stock across all location) and pricing including special prices and quantity breaks from Sage 1000 and synchronises this with the tills. Tills can then trade online, or offline should network or internet issues occur.

The EPoS is then able to carry out sales/refunds, make enquiries on customer accounts or products, take payments on account and many other actions. These EPoS transactions are passed immediately back to Sage 1000 where they can be processed as invoice and cash batches.

System rules allow automated decisions to be made around how invoices are posted (for example if stock is not available) as well as whether orders are left open, despatched or fully invoiced.

Why Elite’s Sage 1000 POS Integration is Better Than Others

Other vendors may advertise “Sage 1000 Integration” from their EPoS solution, but when you look into the detail, the reality often falls well short. Many EPoS vendors will be happy to write a custom link from their EPoS to Sage 1000, however run into difficulty when they realise the complexities behind this. Elite have an off the shelf solution that works out of the box. It can also be easily customised to meet individual needs.

With many systems, transactions from EPoS to Sage are often summarised or posted as overnight batches. You therefore lose vital details captured at the till, which are important for accurate reporting, forecasting, cash reconciliation and stock replenishment. This process may also be a manual export/import of files. Elite POS automatically posts transactions in full detail, in near real-time (if required). You therefore have detailed POS transactional data from within Sage 1000 at any time.

Also consider the level of Sage data that is made available to the EPoS solution. Again, many software vendors often talk of “integration”, but do look at the detail behind this. Elite’s Sage 1000 integration passes sales ledger accounts, including trading terms, special price lists, full product details such as pricing bands and item profile information.
